Centrifugation is a separation technique that uses centrifugal force to separate two or three phases from a mixture.
Only if the mixture is qualified as a suspension, where all the constituents of the product are mixed together, but, without chemical reaction, all the components retain the same physical properties.
This is a critical factor if mechanical separation is required.
A solution is a liquid that has undergone a chemical reaction and cannot be separated again by physical forces. This solution would have lost its original physical properties to become a new product.
We can use some chemicals intrants to process through machinal separation, but it is evaluated in a case-by-case basis.
The easiest way is to test in laboratory scale, using tabletop centrifuge. The product will react under high amounts of G-Force and results can be interpreted and transported to process scale.
